“Toxic” Data—is it Dangerous?

It could be…if you don't deal with it correctly. Every ByteManagers client has different data challenges as well as different desired outcomes and use scenarios for their corporate content. At the same time, many of our clients share the familiar frustrations that arise when data can't be leveraged to drive the results they need.

Your software investments aren't exclusively the issue or cause of the problem. Rather, we find that the integrity and quality of the corporate content is toxic . Thus, we have consulted with our clients to consider a paradigm shift in their approach to a sustainable solution. Using a metaphor, software is equivalent to an engine…and the data is the fuel. The engine can't work without the fuel. No matter what size the investment or the amount of horsepower--without proper fuel, the engine will under-perform over time.

Whenever possible, we recommend conducting a Data Quality Diagnostic (DQD) across various points within a client's supply chain. Through our proven "atomic data process," ByteManagers will break data into minuscule, granular components. We will classify the information into industry-standard abbreviations and then recombine those components according to your own specific data presentation rules. Those rules govern how your data will appear in a given condition (see example charts).

Our process allows you to define the rules you need to reconstitute specific elements of your content and provide as much information as possible for any given application in your organization.

In short, we transform your data and content into highly efficient information that you can use however you need.
